![]() While the stew was good, you just can’t beat the flavor of bone in chicken! So, my most preferred way to make this is with a chicken fryer cut up and boneless thighs. It was a lazy Sunday and it was marvelous. This time I used just chicken thighs because that’s what I had and didn’t feel like going to the store. It honestly tastes the best in my opinion with bone in chicken but I love boneless chicken meat so I always add that in. Let the stew cook for another hour UNCOVERED, or until the gravy reaches your desired consistency.Chicken stew is such a simple and satisfying meal. Bring the stew back to a slight boil, lower to a medium/low heat.You can also remove the bay leaves at this point. Add the meatballs to the stew gently one at a time.Once the meatballs are done, set aside in a strainer over a plate until the 1 hour mark is up on your stew.Bake them in the oven for 25-30 minuets.Roll the mixture into meatballs a little larger than the size of a golf ball, and place them on a greased pan. ![]() Dampen the bread in the plate, tear the bread in to small pieces, and add to the bowl.
